On this joyful occasion, I sincerely congratulate all of you on the arrival of the New Year 2026 and wish you good health, happiness and prosperity, family well-being, auspicious fortune, and ever-growing success in all your endeavors.
The year 2025, marking the thirty-fourth anniversary of the independence of our Motherland, was truly a historic and fruitful year for people of all ages across the country, becoming a period in which many noble aspirations and constructive goals were realized.
In the year that has passed, thanks to the wise and constructive policy of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, honorable Emomali Rahmon, the Tajik people achieved remarkable historical successes, and the authority and international standing of our independent Tajikistan increased even further.
A few days ago, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, honorable Emomali Rahmon, comprehensively outlined the most important events of the year, its key achievements, as well as the goals and plans for the coming year in his message to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan- plans that will undoubtedly contribute to improving the living standards and quality of life of the population and to the continued progress of our country.
Taking into account the constant guidance and instructions of the Leader of the Nation, honorable Emomalim Rahmon as well as the current global situation, the growing threats and challenges, and pressing economic, political, and environmental issues, each of us is called upon to be more united, cohesive, vigilant, and farsighted than ever before.
It is a matter of great pride that, as a result of the dedicated efforts of our country, 11 cultural heritage sites of Ancient Khuttal, located in the districts of Jaloliddin Balkhi, Dangara, Vose, Farkhor, and Khovaling of Khatlon region, were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List during the past year.
At the same time, the adoption by UNESCO of resolutions recognizing the city of Panjakent as a “World City of Handicrafts for Embroidery” and commemorating the 1050th anniversary of Robiai Balkhi in 2026-2027 serves as clear evidence of the special place and significant contribution of the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Tajik people to world civilization.
In the coming year as well, we must with a strong sense of patriotism and national self-awareness, work jointly and devotedly to safeguard peace and stability, ensure political security, strengthen unity and mutual understanding, and protect the interests of our state and nation.
On the threshold of the New Year, which coincides with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, I express my firm confidence that the New Year 2026 will play a significant role in strengthening and expanding the achievements of independence, reinforcing the foundations of modern Tajik statehood, enhancing national unity and political stability, and further beautifying and developing our country.
