Mausoleum of the founder of Tajik-Persian literature Abuabdulloh Rudaki (858-941) is located 60 km. east of Panjakent. lt consists of a drick made octagon with a gallery covered by a dome. During its thousand – year history the mausoleum was restored several times, including the latest renovation of 2008 dedicated to 1150 year anniversary of the poet.
